The in-house caching plugin is effective, staging is built in on higher plans, and the Google Cloud infrastructure is fast.

What it costs

Intro pricing sits around $3 to $8 a month depending on plan and term. Renewal pricing is where SiteGround loses people, jumping to roughly three to four times the intro rate. Storage limits are tight and are the usual reason people upgrade.

Where it falls short

The renewal shock is severe and badly communicated. Monthly visit and storage caps are low relative to competitors at the same renewal price. There is no cPanel, which is fine until you need to move and discover migration is less standard than you expected.

Who it's for

WordPress site owners running something that matters and who value support over price. If your site is a hobby, the renewal will hurt. If downtime costs you money, this is a reasonable place to spend it.
