Oxylabs is the enterprise end of the proxy market: large residential pools, serious compliance posture, and pricing that assumes you have a procurement process.
What it does well
Scale and reliability. The residential pool is among the largest available, success rates on difficult targets are high, and the infrastructure holds up under sustained load in a way cheaper providers do not. Dedicated account management is standard rather than an upsell.
It also takes sourcing ethics and compliance seriously, which matters if your legal team asks where the IPs come from.
What it costs
This is the expensive option. Residential traffic starts around $6 per GB, with rates only dropping below $4 per GB on high-commitment tiers in the region of $2,500 a month. There is no meaningful pay-as-you-go entry point, which is a deliberate filter.
Where it falls short
Price, and the absence of a low-commitment way in. For small projects it is simply the wrong tool, and Decodo or IPRoyal deliver comparable results per gigabyte at a fraction of the entry cost. The dashboard is capable but dense.
Who it's for
Companies running data collection as a business function with budget and compliance requirements to match. If you are an individual developer or a small team, start cheaper and move here only when reliability at scale becomes the constraint.
